Myth Summary
A famous myth about Isis is how she discovered the secret name of Ra. One day Isis found Ra asleep, salivating. She collected the saliva and mixed it with earth and formed a cobra. As Ra took his daily path the serpent appeared and bit him, causing terrible pain. He called to the Gods, yet Isis was the only Goddess that could help relieve Ra's pain. Isis came to help his cry if he told her his secret name. He obliged and revealed his name. This caused Isis to gain immense powers.

Very interesting myth!! It demonstrates how gods trick every one including the other gods just to gain power for themselves. Good summary it was clear and concise.
